Reception Teacher

*** £168 - £232 per day (depending on pay scale)

*** Perform all duties of a Reception Teacher
The Role:
Take full responsibility for a Reception class, planning and delivering high-quality teaching across the EYFS curriculum. You will assess progress, create a stimulating classroom environment, support children’s early development, and make sure pupils are given the strongest possible start to school life. Reception teaching is delivered through the EYFS framework, which covers the seven areas of learning and development and uses the early learning goals in the Reception year.
The Candidate:
You are a reflective and nurturing classroom practitioner who understands how important the Reception year is to children’s long-term progress. You communicate clearly, build strong relationships with children and families, and can create a classroom culture built on routine, encouragement, and purposeful learning. Primary teachers are responsible for children’s educational, social, and emotional development, and early years teachers specialise in supporting development up to age 5.

- Degree – A 2:2 or above in a creative subject.
- QTS – Must hold Qualified Teacher Status and be eligible to teach in a primary school setting.

- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Career Commitment – A strong commitment to early years teaching, pupil development, and high-quality classroom practice.
