At Pertemps Education, we are proud to be working in partnership with a highly inclusive and nurturing primary school in Lambeth to recruit an outstanding KS2 Teacher for their dedicated Autism Resource Base (ARB).

This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to helping children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) achieve their full potential within a supportive specialist setting. The school offers a well-established resource base, small class sizes, and a collaborative approach involving therapists, support staff, and families to ensure every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role As the KS2 Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for pupils with ASC and associated learning needs.
• Create a structured, nurturing learning environment that promotes independence, communication, and positive outcomes.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and parents to support individual learning journeys.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Foster confidence, resilience, and social development through creative and inclusive teaching approaches.

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Experience working with pupils with Autism, SEND, or within a specialist provision (desirable).
• A strong understanding of autism-friendly strategies, including visual supports, communication approaches, and differentiated learning.
• Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education.
