Job Description
Make a real difference to a young person’s life working for our client who is looking for compassionate, resilient and motivated Children’s Residential Support Workers to join their team.
This is more than just a job. You will play an important role in providing a safe, caring and nurturing home for children and young people, helping them develop confidence, independence and the skills they need to achieve positive outcomes.
What you’ll be doing As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:
The shifts are 10am - 10pm plus a sleep-in and then 10am - 10pm with the sleep-in and then you would have four days off and then back on for 2 days.
About you We are looking for people who are:
If you have over 12 months experience then they would require you to hold Level 3 in Childcare

What you’ll be doing As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with children and young people.
- Provide consistent day-to-day care, support and guidance.
- Create a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
- Support young people with education, appointments, activities and everyday routines.
- Encourage independence, positive choices and the development of practical life skills.
- Plan and participate in recreational and community activities.
- Support young people during difficult or challenging situations using calm and appropriate approaches.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to handovers, meetings and reviews.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
- Act as a positive role model and advocate for the children and young people in your care.

- Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins where required.
