Graduate Civil Engineer - Drainage/highways
Location: London
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 + Benefits
An independent transport planning and infrastructure consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to develop their career within development infrastructure, highways and transport-related engineering. The role offers the chance to work alongside experienced engineers and planners on a wide variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects across London and the South East.
You will gain exposure to project delivery from feasibility and planning through to detailed design, working closely with senior engineers and clients whilst developing your technical and commercial understanding of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design and delivery of highways and development infrastructure projects
- Support the preparation of technical reports, drawings and design documentation
- Undertake engineering analysis and technical assessments
- Assist with transport and infrastructure planning projects
- Produce and review AutoCAD drawings and engineering layouts
- Liaise with local authorities, clients and project stakeholders
- Support project delivery from concept design through to planning and implementation
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Strong interest in highways, infrastructure, transport or development engineering
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
